[RESOLVED] D2L Service Slowness 7/27

RESOLVED: Due to a network outage in Madison, Desire2learn may have been unreachable or users may have experienced slowness between 10:49 AM and 11:32 AM on Monday, July 27th.  At this time, the system is responding normally.  Any questions or concerns should be sent to UW-W Desire2Learn Support.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE: Beginning at around 11am users began reporting issues and slowness with Desire2Learn.  This issue has been reported to Learn@UW, and they are investigating. We will post updates as they are received.

[COMPLETE] Planned Campus Network Outage – 7/24

COMPLETE 7/24 7:35PM: The scheduled maintenance impacting Desire2Learn access has been completed.  Users can now access the service.  Any issues or concerns should be submitted to UW-W D2L Support.

UPDATE 7/24 2:45PM: The portion of the outage impacting Desire2Learn should be complete by 8 PM tonight.  The remainder of the outage will not impact users access to Desire2Learn from off campus.

iCIT has scheduled network maintenance for the entire UW-Whitewater network on Friday, July 24th, from 7 PM to 11:59 PM.  During this timeframe the Desire2Learn service will NOT be available.

Instructors: If you have any assignments or exams due during the outage window, please notify your students and make the appropriate adjustments.

[RESOLVED] Internal Error when Accessing Quizzes

The quiz issue has been resolved.  Between 10:15am and 12:30pm on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015, users may have received an “Internal Error” while accessing the quiz tool.  If you are still having issues, please contact UW-W Desire2Learn Support.

Beginning at roughly 10:15am on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015, we have received reports that some users are receiving an “Internal Error” while accessing the quiz tool.  We have reported the issue and technicians are working to correct the problem.  Please check back here for updates.

[RESOLVED] D2L Login Issues – 2/5

Desire2Learn is now available.  Between 4:00pm and 4:25pm on Thursday, February 5th, 2015, users may have had issues logging into Desire2Learn.  If you are still having login issues, please try clearing your browser cache.  If that does not work, please contact UW-W Desire2Learn Support.

Original Message: Beginning around 4:00 PM today, users may be experiencing issues logging into D2L.  We have reported the issue and technicians are working to correct the problem.  Please check back here for updates.

[RESOLVED] D2L Unavailable

Between 3:36pm and 4:05pm on Monday, January 19th, 2015, D2L may have been unavailable to users due to networking issues at UW-Madison.  The issue has been resolved and services are once again functioning as expected.

RESOLVED: D2L Login Issues

Between 3:30pm and 3:50pm on Thursday, October 30th, 2014, users may have received an “Identity Provider Unavailable” message when trying to login to Desire2Learn.  The issue was resolved and all systems were functioning properly at 3:50pm on Thursday.

RESOLVED: Turnitin Service Disruption

The Turnitin service is now available.  The service was unavailable between 10am and 1pm on Friday, October 24th, 2014.

The Turnitin service is currently experiencing a service disruption.  Originality Check, Grademark and Peermark are currently inaccessible.  The issue started around 10:30am on Friday, October 24th, 2014.  The vendor is working to resolve the issue.  We will post additional updates as they are received.

[UPDATED] Reported Slowness in D2L

UPDATE (4:23 PM): Learn@UW technicians are still investigating the cause, and D2L is still experiencing intermittent slowness. Users are reminded to save their work often while working within D2L.

UPDATE (12:45 PM): As of approximately 11:00 AM, users should be able to log into and use D2L as expected. However, Learn@UW technicians are still investigating the cause of the slowness. As a precaution, users should save their work frequently within D2L in case of another outage.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE (10:02 AM): Starting at approximately 10:00 AM this morning (9/8), users reported unusual slowness while logging into and working within D2L. The issue has been reported to Learn@UW technicians.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will update this news item with more information as we receive it.

RESOLVED: DoIT Streaming Video Outage

From approximately 3:16am until 11:15am on Wednesday, August 20th streaming videos were not available.  DoIT technicians have corrected the issue.  If you are still having issues viewing your videos, please contact UW-W D2L Support.

All streaming videos are currently unavailable. We have reported the issue to DoIT in Madison and they are working on a resolution for the problem. We will update this post with additional details as they are received.

RESOLVED – D2L – Unknown Authentication Error

From roughly 9:50 AM to 10:10 AM today (Monday June 23rd, 2014), users may have received errors when trying to log in to Desire2Learn.  At this time, the issue has been resolved.
