UPDATE: D2L v10.1 Upgrade Postponed

Known IssuesLearn@UW has informed us that the D2L upgrade originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 8th (9:30pm) to Thursday, January 9th (10:30am) has been postponed. After working with Desire2Learn Inc. on an issue that has been impacting performance in version 10.1, Learn@UW has decided to delay the upgrade until Desire2Learn Inc. can deliver a thoroughly verified fix to the issue.

The upgrade will be postponed one week and will proceed on Wednesday, January 15th (9:30pm) to Thursday, January 16th (10:30am).

We understand that this may have a significant impact on winterim courses and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact UW-W D2L Support.

[RESOLVED] Users Experiencing D2L Login Errors

UPDATE (10:00 AM): As of 9:33 AM this morning, Learn@UW has reported that the service should be fully restored after identifying and correcting additional server issues. Users should no longer be experiencing errors while logging into D2L.

UPDATE (9:00 AM): Additional issues have been detected, and Learn@UW is working with Desire2Learn to resolve the problems.  Please watch the login page for additional updates.

UPDATE (8:30 AM): The initial login issue has been resolved, and D2L is available.  The initial outage started at 7 AM and lasted until 8:30 AM this morning (11/21).

As of approximately 7:23 AM today, users have reported errors while trying to log in to D2L. We’ve reported this to Learn@UW, and their technicians are looking into the problem.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We will be updating this news item as we receive more information.

[UPDATED] Users Report Internal Errors in D2L Quizzes

Update (2:06 PM 11/14): We’ve been informed by Learn@UW of two more incidents of users being unable to access the Quizzes tool. The following are the currently reported incidents:

11/13 from 10:20 AM to 10:35 AM
11/13 from 2:18 PM to 2:34 PM
11/14 from 12:14 PM to 12:37 PM

Learn@UW and Desire2Learn Inc are investigating the cause for this problem but have not reported back on any further details. As they continue to investigate and relay more information, we will update this news item with more information.

Previous Message: From approximately 10:20 to 10:35 AM today (Wednesday, November 13th), users have reported being unable to access the Quizzes tool and receiving an Internal Error message. This has been reported to Learn@UW, and we will update this news item with more information as we receive it.

As of now, users should no longer be receiving errors while trying to access Quizzes. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact UW-W D2L Support.

D2L Login Errors

RESOLVED:  The login issue has been resolved, and the D2L is available.  The outage started at 5:40 AM and lasted until 7:35 AM this morning (9/25).

Starting at approximately 7:00 AM this morning (9/25), users have reported error messages while trying to log into D2L. This issue has been reported to the proper technicians, and we will be updating this post with more information as we receive it.

D2L Slowness Reported

Update: The service interruption has now been resolved.  Users may have experienced unusual slowness or received errors between approximately 1:18 PM and 2:50 PM this afternoon (September 4th, 2013). If you are still having issues logging into D2L, please contact UW-W D2L Support.

Users have reported intermittent access interruptions, slowness, and some are receiving “Internal Errors”. Users have also reported the inability to log into D2L, either the process times out or an error is displayed. This has been reported to Learn@UW, and their technicians are looking into the issue.

We will update this news item with any new information as we receive it.

[RESOLVED] D2L “Term Not Found” Errors

Updated: The service issues have now been resolved.  Users may have received Term Not Found errors between approximately 7:00 and 8:00 a.m this morning (8/15/2013).  Any additional questions or concerns may be sent to D2L-Support.

Some users have been reporting receiving “Term Not Found” errors while working in D2L. This has been reported to Learn@UW, and technicians will be looking into getting this corrected. Thank you for your patience while this is being investigated.

Users Receiving Old D2L Notifications

Some users may have received several email notifications from D2L that were related to past courses. Learn@UW has been testing the notifications feature to try and re-enable it for UW campuses, and they inadvertently caused a backlog of old notifications to be sent.

Learn@UW is currently investigating the issue and working to prevent additional emails being sent from this backlog. The emails can be ignored and shouldn’t affect your courses. However, we apologize that some of you may be receiving many of these emails, especially if you had notification subscriptions set up in your past courses.

[RESOLVED] D2L Login Issues

Update: As of 11:30 PM on April 2nd, 2013 the issue appears to be resolved.  If you are still having issues logging into D2L, please contact D2L Support.

Beginning at 10:15 PM on April 2nd, 2013 users are currently experiencing issues logging into D2L. This has been reported to Learn@UW, and their technicians are looking into the issue.

[RESOLVED] D2L Slowness and Internal Errors

UPDATE (4:09 PM CST): Learn@UW has stated that the service interruption should be over and that the outage lasted from approximately 3:25 PM to 4:03 PM. They, along with Desire2Learn Inc, are currently still investigating the cause of the issue.

We apologize for the service disruption. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact UW-W D2L Support.

[RESOLVED] D2L File Uploads

RESOLVED. We were notified by Learn@UW that access to attachments in the Dropbox, Locker and Discussions areas of D2L was unavailable from 3:30 AM (CST) to 7:00 AM (CST) on Wednesday, January 16th, 2013. At this time all services are online and available.
