5 No-Equipment Workouts
With the unfortunate impacts COVID-19 has had on the world, at home workouts have become
increasingly popular. I know from personal experience there are so many different movements
and exercises you can do that require no equipment. Even small gym equipment like dumbbells
and yoga mats can get pricey. That’s why I thought it would be helpful to write about five
different workouts you can complete right from your home that require zero equipment. Even if
you go to the gym, these workouts can be a great way to get you out of your gym rut and try
something new.
Five No-Equipment Workouts
- Abdominal Set
a. Abs are a great way to get your body moving without needing any equipment. My
favorite way to complete an ab workout is to set a timer for 5 minutes and do a
different exercise every 30 seconds on the clock. If you are unfamiliar with what
types of abs to do click here for some great abdominal exercises. Otherwise,
click here to do a lead ab workout. - Full Body Hiit
a. Full body workouts are my personal favorite because they focus on almost every
part of your body. Hiit stands for high intensity interval training. Hiit is a great way to get your
heart rate up and sweat! There are so many resources online to get you started on great hiit
workouts. Otherwise, click here for a guided hiit workout. - Running Stairs
a. Running is always great for the body as it gets your heart rate up and uses
various muscles in your body. Walking up stairs is also an amazing form of
exercise because it focuses on those leg muscles. Put the two together and you
have yourself a fast and simple workout. You can find stairs in your own house or
your local park. Do a variation of running up and down the stairs for a quick
sweat. - Series of Leg Exercises
a. Although many would argue you need to use weights in order to get a sufficient
workout in, I would argue otherwise. Performing body weight exercises is an
amazing way to gain muscle without straining yourself. There are so many leg
specific exercises to do as well without any equipment needed. Click here to
learn more. - Series of Arm Movements
a. As stated above, you do not need gym equipment to do any workout. Arm
exercise can be done simply with body weight. If you are a beginner, click here to
learn some great movements.
With all of this being said, remember, make your workout your own. You do not need an
expensive gym membership or fancy equipment to get in a great workout. Try out one of our tips
