Hey all, I am back with another collection post! This week I thought I would focus in on glassware. Glassware is interesting because I would consider it a catch-all for kitchenware. Most would think of cups or mugs, but I would even put plates or other dining accessories in this category and I will for the sake of this post. The section is so big in the thrift, that it often takes up a lot of my time. I always have to go looking through here because you never know what you might find. It’s another one of those sections in the thrift where your personal preference dictates what you think is good or not. There are some items I have bought where others think they are dumb. Yet, it was exactly what I was looking for. When I moved into my first apartment I bought all my glassware fro mother thrift. I saved a lot of money and got a pretty diverse selection of glasses, mugs, and plates. I went a little crazy and ended up with too many because there was some I couldn’t pass on every time I went. Now a lot of people like to have a certain theme for their personal glassware. I just have a whole random assortment of glass and that is exactly my vibe. Anyways, below are a few recent pickups from the thrift that I consider to fall under the glassware category. Per usual, i’ve included some of my thrift tips.

A tea pot that looks brand new! No way! I was just as shocked. I’ve recently gotten into drinking more tea and was in the hunt for a teapot. Luckily I found this piece that looks like it has been barely touched. I paid around $8 for this. It wall well worth it.

I was pretty excited to find this one. I am always on the hunt for Badger memorabilia. I have one of these already but I of course had to add another. I paid $0.99
I thought this on was pretty cool. The Budweiser cycle ales are so iconic and it looks so clean on this mug. It also has that vintage look to it. I paid $2.99.
This is where the category of glassware gets a little iffy. I mean it’s still glass, right? This is a Seinfeld box set that comes with memorabilia from the show. If you are a Seinfeld fan you know exactly the significance of this. I am a huge Seinfeld fan so of course I had to buy it. I paid $7.99

Glassware tips:

  • The section is so big so make sure to scan and don’t be afraid to look behind. I’ve found some cool glass just digging behind the ones that are at the front of the display
  • Don’t be discouraged if they are a little dirty. They still have life to them. I take them home and give them a nice wash and they look just as good.
  • The mason jars are in this section as well. I love these because they have so much use. They are also super cheap. Defiantly pick up some. You will find yourself using them for so many things!
