Hey all, welcome back to my blog and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the content thus far. This week I thought I would begin a series where I highlight a unique collection of items. These are items that I have bought or passed on, yet I still thought they were interesting or cool. I like to have my walls covered because it simply makes it interesting to look at. Blank walls are too boring! This week I will be showcasing art/framed pictures. Now before I start, it’s probably best to know that I love collecting framed pictures from thrift stores. There are a lot of unique pieces and it really fits into the aesthetic of my home. Some of my art is a little weird, some are normal, yet I love all of them. Without further ado… art.

The first one I have here is one that I found for $4.99 at Savers. It is a very famous scene from the show I Love Lucy. I thought it was something that looked pretty cool and has a vintage aspect to it.

This next one is a little odd. I found this last week at Goodwill for $.99. It is a very minimalist piece, something I don’t have many of. I also thought it was cool because it is the neighborhood that I live in.

The next two are part of my growing collection of pictures of artists. There was no better way than to start with two musical icons. I got both of these for under $6 a piece.

As you can see, I have a lot of different styles that I enjoy. Yet, somehow they all fit together perfectly in a somewhat chaotic way.

Finally, some quick tips for you to find and build your own collection of art? or whatever that is above! #1: when you get to the frame/picture section don’t be afraid to do some shuffling with the items. I always do this because sometimes the best items are hidden behind the big ugly ones. Also sometimes people will hide an item so they can come back for it on a different day. #2: the frame/picture section is not the only place you will find these items. Sometimes they are scattered in other sections, i.e. on the floor or in the random piles of shelves. Although, they tend to be in the smaller side if that is what you are looking for. #3 : if you are really committed to finding cool pieces or ones that you think are cool it is best to go a few times a week. This is a rule that applies to all aspects of thrifting. New items get put out everyday and you might miss that hidden gem. Thanks for reading all and hope you have a good weekend of thrifting :). Now go find some cool art/frames/pictures or whatever you desire.
