Importance of Mental Health

Mental health is by far my favorite thing to discuss! Mental health should not be a taboo subject. We all struggle with mental health in some way, shape, or form!

About five years ago, I was at a really low place in my life. I wasn’t sleeping, had high anxiety, and felt very emotionally drained. I was lucky enough to have a great support system to provide me with the help I needed. I started going to therapy…BEST DECISION EVER! I am obsessed with theory! Finding someone to discuss the good, bad, and ugly with is so important. I used to hold everything in and feel stuck in my life. My therapist has helped me grow into a healthier and happier person. She taught me a variety of coping mechanisms, stress relievers, communication techniques, and so much more!

Why take your mental health seriously? Mental health is the root of your wellness, physically and mentally. It is important to put yourself first. Without the proper mental health techniques, you may find yourself in very dangerous situations. Mental health is just as important as your physical health. It’s just as important to exercise your mind as it is to exercise your brain.

If you have any questions or additional comments, let me know in the comments! I love to hear what you have to say regarding your wellness!

I like this blog because it is interesting. Mental health is definitely very important. I agree with you that it seems like people do not like to talk about mental health that much, but they should talk about it.

Hi! This is a great idea for a blog. I recently started seeing a therapist to treat me for my OCD- it was definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made! Not enough people recieve the diagnosis and help they need in terms of mental health. Advocating and spreading mental health awareness and wellness is defnintely necessary! Great post!

Hi! Again, I love your content. Personally I always felt like I never had mental health problems as a kid because I have always grown up with a great life and I was never able to open up about how I felt because I always thought “I don’t have it bad”. But everyone has their own problems and I think you put it in a great descprition and in the media. It always makes me feel better when you hear other stories as well or have someone to talk to about it with like a therapist. Thank you for your content I can’t wait to see what you have more to come!

    Hey Madison!

I’m excited to be back reading your blog again this week. I’m glad to hear you’re loving therapy. I have been thinking about going to therapy recently. I have never been diagnosed with any mental health problems like anxiety or depression but I think it would be nice to have an unbiased professional to help me get through the ups and downs of life like breakups and transitioning to post-grad life.

I love how you incorporate graphics every week.

Have a good week! I can’t wait to read your post next week!

I agree that everyone struggles with some kind of mental health in their life. I use stress relivers a lot in my life and it has really been a big difference for me. I really try maintaining a high quality of life.
