Health Services
UHCS provides a wide range of health services to keep you healthy and active on campus. From routine check-ups to flu shots, treatments for sickness and injuries, and more, we’ve got you covered! Do you have a question about your health, or not sure of next steps? Ask a nurse; this service is available to schedule online and by phone.
Our health center also provides sexual health services, such as STI testing and emergency contraception such as condoms, oral dams, and educational materials for your sexual well being.
Counseling Services
Your mental well-being is just as important as your physical health in college. UHCS offers confidential counseling services, free of cost to enrolled students. If you or someone you know is struggling managing stress, regulating anxiety, battling depression, or facing other personal challenges, Ambrose Health Center is the place to go. Check out the 24/7 self-help resources, schedule a visit to the relaxation room, or even get tested for ADHD. UHCS also offers group counseling sessions tailored to student needs, like the Introduction to Mindfulness course geared toward emerging adults.

In addition to the many health and counseling services, UHCS offers various resources to support your overall wellness on campus. They also host events throughout the year, like the Sexual Health Carnival, educational programs that focus on stress management and healthy relationships, and wellness workshops.
UHCS Contact Information & How to Schedule an Appointment
If you are looking to get in touch with UHCS you can visit them at the Ambrose Health Center: 710 W. Starin Rd. Whitewater, WI 53190 and schedule an appointment in person. You can also call to schedule during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Don’t want to call? Students, can log onto the health portal at https://uhcsportal.uww.edu/login_directory.aspx and enter their information and submit forms to get an appointment scheduled. For urgent care needs, UHCS does provide after-hours services through on-call professionals and ways to message your preferred provider through the portal. If students are experiencing a mental health crisis, counseling services provides walk-in crisis appointments Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Students can access crisis services after hours by contacting our crisis line at 262-472-1300
