Putting Yourself First!

Hello and welcome back! I am excited for you to be joining me for another week of discovering wellness. This is one of my favorite topics to discuss. Only you can prioritize yourself and importance. Below I have included one of my favorite graphics revolving around self-love.

Don’t know where to start putting yourself first? I have provided some examples and tips below!

  1. Recognize and develop priorities
  2. Schedule time for yourself
  3. Set boundaries
  4. Learn to say “no”
  5. Set goals and live by them!

These are just a few things you can do to start putting yourself first. If this is a concept you are unfamiliar with, it will take time! Don’t get frustrated or down on yourself, consistency is key! Learn what makes you happy and what you don’t like doing. You can’t love others until you love yourself. The best part is, it all starts with you!

I hope to see you again next week! I will be discussing how to hold yourself accountable in everything we have discussed this far.

Great post! I know something I struggle with is saying ‘no’- I often say yes to anything becuase I don’t want to disappint my friends, but I need to learn to better prioritize what’s best for my own comfort. Thanks for the motivation!

Loving yourself is often the first step to true self-actualization. However, it can be tough to do, especially for people who deal with low self-esteem. That being said, it is an endeavor worth taking. It’ll take time, but the benefits are worth all the effort.

I like the graphic, those are good reminders to keep top of mind! I found your 5th tip to be very important. Setting goals literally changed my life for the better, and I would recommend it to anyone feeling lost or anxious.

You always have to remember to take of yourself. For me I can get easily distracted to make sure everyone around me is okay and I forget to chceck on my own wellness. I have to balance it out better.
