Oxenfree is a psychological horror game. The premise is that several teens are going to have a party on the beach, and perhaps tune into some interesting sounds on the radio–a rumor that’s common to the legends of the island.
With drama between the partiers and an brand new step brother, our main character Alex tunes into these weird radio frequences, and the whole world is turned upside down.
I loved this game. The story was facinating. The choices felt impactful. The puzzles were facinating. It’s a game that anyone could play–you don’t have to be good at games in order to enjoy this type of game.
The best part I think is the ending, and how it lends itself to a unique replayability.
