Women’s Basketball Falls in National Championship

Women’s Basketball

The UW-Whitewater women’s basketball team played Hope for the National Championship on Saturday in Pittsburgh, PA. The game was close the whole first half. In the second half, Hope took control, and won the game and the National Championship, 71-58. Rebekah Schumacher led the Warhawks in scoring with 14 points in her final game as a Warhawk. 

Baseball

The UW-Whitewater baseball team won their fourth straight game in Pensacola, FL with a 11-3 win over Carroll.

Softball

The UW-Whitewater softball started their season in Florida and went 2-2 to start their season.

  • Man, basketball has quite the season!! Truly incredible to follow, and ending in second in the nation is amazing! I am excited to follow along with spring sports, though.

  • It was a tough loss seeing the Women’s Basketball team lose! But how proud they should be getting to where they were!

  • It sucks that they could not go home with a championship, but they should be proud of the season. I wonder how the baseball and softball team will preform this season. Would love to see future blogs that cover this.
