My Hopes and Dreams of Wielding a Warhammer
With Season 10 around the corner and the predicted release order thrown out the window with the upcoming addition of the Samurai’s axe-demon, it’s time to speculate (and pray) about the next release. The Viking’s warhammer wielding hero. Now it’s a 50/50 shot for the next release being a Viking or a Wu Lin, but I’m leaning Viking. Why? Simply put, the Wu Lin were just released at the end of last year, giving them the most “new” heroes as of late. So with the Tiandi, Nuxia, Shaolin, and Jian Jung still being 4 of the 6 newest heroes, it’s probably time for the Viking’s to get one, as the…

The Unusual Silence of Siege
Ubi has been oddly quiet about Siege lately. I’ve been trying to find things about the next season, but aside from some unconfirmed leaks and serverside updates, not much has been going on. So what are they doing? My speculation is the next season isn’t going to change much. They’ll release new operators and that’s it. I think they’ll focus on patching the game, like Operation Health did. It would be welcome, as the game was much improved after that season. Another round of fixes couldn’t hurt, and it also gives more time for them to plan something big. Time will tell, but it shouldn’t be much longer until we…

The Thickest One to rule us all – Shugoki Guide
Since Season 5 and the parry/guardbreak reworks Shugoki has been absolute trash tier. No mix ups, no soft feints, nothing. But that finally changed in Season 9. The Thicc Lad got a rework and now he’s a god among men. They gave this boy a whole new kit! New animations, new movesets, and gave him everything he didn’t have before. Soft feints and charged heavies and a viable demon’s embrace, oh my! No more passive hyper armor bs, but hyper armor on. every. attack. The headbutt now chains into attacks, the throws can transition to hugs, its everything we dreamed it would be. Now go, followers of the Thicc One,…

The Samurai get a Horror Movie Villain as their New Hero
Doll heads, fog, mask, and a creepy ass voice. Sakura is here to claim your soul. While the woman shown is Sakura, the class as a whole is called the Hitokiri. A Heavy, double headed axe wielding demon that seems to play like a slightly more graceful Shugoki while bringing the same punch. From what we’ve seen so far, she can do an infinite heavy chain that is broken by a light, and soft feint any heavy for a kick to the head or a sweep, guaranteeing an attack. She can also charge her heavies much like Shugo, so if you like him you’ll probably also like her. She’s due…

Apex, Weekly Content and why you Should be Glad they don’t do it
The past month has been a violent pile of, quite honestly, ridiculous claims. “Apex is dying!” “People have moved on!” “They didn’t put content out fast enough.” Just in case you aren’t picking up on the tone here, none of it is true. Respawn Entertainment, the minds behind the battle royale that took the gaming community by storm that brought in 25 million unique players in just under 2 weeks. Now that’s impressive. But as the weeks turned into a month and new content was demanded by the community, many turned their backs on the game. They had gotten used to the weekly content released by games like Fortnite and refused to…

The Big Boys get their Buff
It’s long been known that when you play Gibraltar and Caustic that you put yourself at a disadvantage due to their large character rigs. While the last update fixed the issue enough for Pathfinder, these two were just too damn bulky for a hitbox tweak. Playing these two meant you were going to get shot more and go down more, flat out. So Respawn gave them both a new passive in addition to their current ones. The damage they take now is reduced by 10%, for everything. Body shots, headshots, melee, explosives, the works. This gives them an effective 110 HP, and…

Ubisoft Learns how to Use the Reverse Card
One of Siege’s biggest issue is teamkilling. Someone has a bad round, says something that gripes another, or even just trolls their team by shooting a couple of teammates in the head before being booted by the system. But with a new system implemented on the test servers, those days might soon be over. Thank. God. Over on the Siege TTS, a new report system is in place for when you get TK’d (Teamkilled). You can tell the server if it was an accident or not. If you say it was, it’s no harm no foul (besides you being dead). IF it wasn’t, though, the server remembers. We all ‘member. and the…

The OG Powerhouse Extraordinaire – Raider Guide
A shout from the mountains, the sound of an axe breaking bones and tearing flesh, and then, suddenly…. You’re dead in three hits and this beast of a man is literally tearing your head off. If you wish to be the tear-er and not the tear-ee, continue! Everyone else, form an orderly line and prepare for the afterlife. Raider is the Viking’s vanguard hero, standing head and shoulder over most other heroes in the game, and swinging an axe of the same size. This man is no joke. A single heavy attack from a Raider is upwards of 35 damage, almost 1.5 times that of a standard heavy. That means…

Sweep Men off their Feet! – A How-to Guide to Valkyrie
Alright lads, take this with a grain of salt. I don’t usually play heroes who use light attacks regularly. But Valkyrie is a stone cold badass, so she gets an exception. She’s earned her stripes a s a Viking, hitting every criteria needed. She’s brutal, deadly, and shouts at the top of her lungs. And shes got the horns, so… So Valkyrie is a Hybrid assassin/vanguard hero, and to date the only hero with a deflect and a standard guard. That’s two pluses already. Shes also got dodge lights in every direction and, I make no exaggeration, every variation of light and heavy combo. Triple heavy? Check. 2 lights and…

Breathe ’em and Weep – Gas Tactics for Caustic
Today, you learn how to play our one true lord. Beautiful. Now join me as a Caustic main, and reign terror and confusion on your enemies. Caustic is a Large-Rig character, meaning, like Gibraltar and Pathfinder, he’s one of the easier legends to land shots on. While this is a disadvantage, it shouldn’t come into play very often if you play him right. Caustic’s kit consists of gas traps and a gas grenade, and an immunity to his own traps. He can have 6 (SIX!) Traps down at a time, with a maximum of 3 ‘charges’ that refill when he throws them out. His ultimate is the grenade, a throwable…
