A Few More Recipes That Made TikTok Blow Up

TikTok is a social media app that forever changed society. Every aspect of social media has changed our world, however, TikTok has a special feature that other apps don’t. It is a video and audio-based app that engages people with their lives in a more real way.

How TikTok Impacted Cooking in COVID-19

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak. With that, quarantine got everyone a little stir-crazy. For me, like a lot of other people my age, I downloaded the social media app TikTok. This app became different from all the other social media platforms because the content was created by people in a real and raw manner. It wasn’t filtered, it was people creating ideas that made them happy and made them want to share them with the world. With everything going on in the world, I didn’t even want to turn on the TV and hear more bad news. So, I scrolled and scrolled on TikTok. Once I started going on it more often, my ForYou page was full of ideas and recipes that I didn’t even know existed.

With TikTok becoming popular once lockdown hit, it impacted people to post aspects of their life that they wouldn’t normally post on platforms like Instagram and Facebook. This helped social media marketers facilitate their brands into TikTok and use real people to promote their products. Social media marketers for food brands were especially prevalent because everyone was baking or cooking. Real people were using products that they liked which created a domino effect for multiple people purchasing and doing the same recipes.

Some different recipes that blew up the social media world during the quarantine were banana bread, coffee cake, whipped coffee, homemade pizza, granola yogurt cups and so much more. All of these recipes were intended to help people forget about what was going on in the world and invest themselves in a recipe.

Some of my Favorite Recipes:

During quarantine, I developed a love for cooking and trying new recipes. It has helped me relieve stress and makes me very happy.

These are just a few of my favorite recipes that I made in March and April 2020 for my family. All of these photos are photos that I took when I made it. I, unfortunately, do not have the account of the TikTok creators who posted these recipes, but I did not create them myself.
