RESOLVED: Desire2Learn Slowness / Timeout Errors Accessing Content

Update 9/28 10:00am: D2L and the Learn@UW team have worked together to restore the EduDentity service and all functionality is once again available. 

Update 9/14 12:45pm: D2L service is stable after the Learn@UW team disabled the EduDentity setting. Users of either Binder or Assignment Grader will not sync while disabled. Those affected by this should be directed to the Content or Gradebook tool within their courses, until further notice.  Learn@UW continues to work with D2L to understand the root cause in order to return service to normal.

Original Message: Beginning around 9pm on Wednesday, September 13th, users may have experienced slowness or “Internal Errors” when trying to access content within courses.  Technicians reported the issue to Desire2Learn and a configuration change was at 12:46am on Thursday, September 14th.  The Learn@UW team will continue monitoring this issue closely, but at this point we believe it is resolved.

As a result of this configuration change, access to sync tools such that use the D2L EduDentity service (such as Binder & Assignment Grader) have been temporarily disabled.  We will post an update on this issue around 12pm (noon) today.
