SERVICE RESTORED (3:15 A.M. Thursday): The D2L service has been restored, and is once again available

UPDATE (8:30 P.M.): Work continues to restore the D2L service.
UPDATE (3:30 P.M.): Power has been restored to the Madison Data Center and work is underway to restore services. At this time, Learn@UW is estimating that the D2L service will be available in 2 to 4 hours pending successful testing and service verification.
We will provide updates on this news item as we receive additional information about the service availability.
UPDATE (1:45 P.M.): At this time, the work continues on restoring power to the Madison Data Center. In conjunction with this mornings inclement weather, there was also a catastrophic battery failure in the Madison Data Center. There is currently no ETA on when services will be restored. We will provide another update around 3:30 P.M. today.
UPDATE (10:00 A.M.): Madison campus technicians are still working to gather information and restore the power and services. There is currently no ETA on when services will be restored.
Original Message: Starting at approximately 7:50 A.M. (CT) today, Learn@UW has lost power due to severe weather. This affects any service hosted from the Madison campus, including Desire2Learn. Learn@UW and their technicians are working on restoring services as soon as possible.
