Start Of The Week
Quarterbacks
Start Em
Ben Roethlisberger PIT vs @DAL
Ben hasn’t been the most remarkable fantasy QB right now. Still, he is leading a successful team by doing his part. This week though, he will deliver a huge fantasy production day against the worst scoring defense, the Cowboys. He is a solid number 1 QB play.
Sit Em
Drew Brees NO
Brees has been battling a right shoulder injury this week. He will play, but that does not help him against one of the league’s best defenses. Also, Kamara is battling an injury, and Thomas is still limited in practice. Both should be able to [play this weekend, but they are not 100 percent. Tampa Bay is a tough matchup, even for a healthy saints team. If they are not healthy, forget starting Brees.
Runningbacks
Start Em
J. Dobbins BAL vs @IND
With Ingram going down, Dobbins will see most of the work. That alone makes him a solid play going forward. Even against a solid defense against the Colts, he is still a solid number 2 RB this weekend.
Sit Em
Ronald Jones II TB vs NO
Jones’s era is over in Tampa as Fournette is back from injury, and it is definitely his show now. With Fournette back, jones does not see the work that made him valuable, and the fumbles he has had does not help him. He is droppable now as he won’t get any meaningful work.
Wide Receivers
Start Em
Diontae Johnson WR PIT vs DAL
He has been spotty this year mostly due to the plague of injuries he has had. It doesn’t help that His average yards per catch is barely above 9 yards so he needs a lot of work to be a solid play. But we are in luck this week as he is going against the worst scoring defense the Dallas Cowboys. This matchup guarantees he will see plenty of looks in the red zone.
Sit Em
Amari Cooper DAL vs PIT
If Dalton was starting this game, I would say start him. Still, with DiNucci under center, all cowboys are unplayable, especially against the Steelers’ pass defense. I won’t be surprised if Cooper goes catch less this game.
Tight Ends
Start Em
Rob Gronkowski
This week I have to admit that Gronk is back after three great fantasy performances. This week should not be any different against the horrid Saints defense where he can do whatever he wants. He is a top 3 TE this weekend.
Sit Em
Jonnu Smith
With the return of A.J. Brown, Jonnu has dived in production, making him unplayable. This should be the case for the rest of the season if Brown is still on the field. He is taking away too much from Jonnu to make him relevant again. Smith is droppable.
I agree with your take on sitting Ronald Jones. I have Fournette on my fantasy team, and he has been having more production over the last couple of weeks. I also think Diontae Johnson would be an interesting play, especially with how good the Steelers have been this year.
