Article Summary: Twitter and Tear Gas

The author highlights the differences  protests and online formats for protesting. The whole base argument is that when you are doing an im person protest maybe it seems more effective but being that we have all of this technology its maybe less effective. Not saying that there is no point bit simply putting the separating that through an online platform the message is changed for the audience. And, because its online the movement has the opportunity to spread like fire and trend on a faster rate with really having a particular organization to claim. And, with an online platform you have the ability to lobby, fund-raise and  grow on a global level which give you more freedom to expand your message. Through the media brings more awareness through a government level and helps a larger sector of the community respond to the issues happening on society. And, the final point is that technology does not pick sides the user who is putting out the message does.
