Summer is filled with all kinds of fairs and festivals to enjoy outside while the weather is nice. While some can be pricey, others are affordable and fun. Check out these events happening this summer!

 

Moonlight Movies on the Beach

On August 8, grab some friends, bring a big blanket, and enjoy a movie on the beach! At 8PM you can head on over to Lake Geneva’s Riviera Beach and see Back to the Future for free!  Moonlight Movies on the Beach is the perfect way to relax under the stars! There will also be concessions selling snacks and soda.

Wisconsin State Fair

Love fairs and fried food? Head on over to the Wisconsin State Fair  August 2-12. Check out all of music from the free stages or pay a little extra for the main stage! Headliners such as Cole Swindell and Alice Cooper will be performing on the main stage to end a perfect day. The fun never ends with a daily parade, a sea lion splash, and the farm and family building. There are also many fun rides and attractions to check out like the Magic Maze Funhouse and the Wonderfair Wheel!

Shake the Lake Festival – Lake Lawn Resort

Want to listen to some fun music on Delavan Lake? Head over to Lake Lawn Resort for Shake the Lake!  This three-day music festival runs from July 27-29 and is filled with food and fun! There will be fun activities such as carnival games, food trucks, and Walworth County Bags Championship. If you purchase your tickets early, it is only $10 per person per day or $20 for a 3-day pass!

Bristol Renaissance Faire

Travel back in time to 1574! The Bristol Renaissance Faire recreates an exciting village festival complete with knights, jesters, and a queen and king! You can enjoy 16th Century rides, arts, music, and of course food. There are even shows such as “The Jousters,” a queen’s show, street sword fights, and many more! The faire itself is a little pricey, however, you can make it more affordable by purchasing your tickets ahead of time and traveling with friends to split the parking fee.

Walworth County Fair

Finish your summer strong by attending the Walworth County Fair August 29 – September 3. Located in Elkhorn, the Walworth County fair is the largest county fair in Wisconsin! From food, rides, entertainment events, and games, there is something everyone will love at the county fair! Parking is free and general admission for adults is only $10.
