What is The Hype Behind Supreme
It is no secret that Supreme has grown to be one of the largest hype beast companies to exist, because of the dedication of its loyal fan base. People will wait hours outside of store fronts waiting for the doors to open to get their chance to buy anything with the word Supreme on it. Maybe it is the hypebeast mentality or maybe they are resellers wanting to make an easy buck on the aftermarket when they put the merchandise on websites like StockX. No matter what it is it has brought this company from one that people were able to buy their clothes at Skate shops to one whose…

Resellers Are Hurting the Sneaker Game
It is safe to say that sneaker culture has been on the rise for a while now, because of how interested people are in rare or exclusive sneakers. The only downfall of the sneaker game is that with booming interests means that there are people willing to spend a lot of money on trying to get the sneaker that they want. This causes problems because it is starting to become a culture of people getting shoes to resell instead of to wear and show off. Long are the days where you could wait in line at a Footlocker or any other sneaker store to be the first to get your…

Supreme’s Week 5 Drops Something Unique
This week is week 5 of Supreme’s spring/summer drops. It’s interesting to see the items they start to add throughout the drop and how fast they sell out as well because some of these items aren’t even clothes or things you can wear. This week’s main highlight though was the Supreme x The North face collaboration. Supreme x Chapstick This one in particular I just find funny because it is ChapStick with the Supreme logo printed on the front. Nonetheless people will buy it and in many cases it will stay in its original packaging. This Chapstick comes in a 3 pack of classic cherry flavored ChapStick. The retail for…

This Weeks Top Picks on the Drop list
It’s that time of the week again where I talk to you guys about my favorite drops from this week Supreme drop. To me it is interesting seeing the number of hoodies and jackets in a spring/summer drop because you would think they would gear towards warmer weather wear. This shows how much of a hypebeast brand Supreme is though because in the past people in the culture were attracted to hoodies even in warmer seasons. Nonetheless here are my top picks for this week. Hooded Down Pullover This pullover will for sure keep you warm made out of a cotton blend. The highlights of this hoodie are the half…

Rumored Air Jordan 1 Reimagined “Chicago”
If you have kept up with any of my previous blogs it is apparent that a main staple of being a hypebeast is the clothing and sneakers one wears. Everyone has their own style but the hypebeast style is about showing off the best-looking lifestyle clothes that one can get their hands on. Showing off the best clothes and wearing exclusive brands is cool and all, but the fit isn’t complete without the right pair of sneakers. For this reason, a major part of being a hypebeast is also being a sneakerhead. One of the most sought-after sneakers and my personal favorite is the Air Jordan 1. Everything about this…

Supreme’s Week 2 Hot Drop
Last weeks blog I picked a few of my favorite items from week 1 of Supreme’s spring collection. This week I was planning to try something different, but the Supreme x Nike collaboration in this week’s drop was worth talking about. Supreme/Nike SB Dunk High The Nike SB Dunk is a historic shoe to say the least. Making it’s debut it 1985 the Dunk was originally a basketball shoe but could not compete with the popularity of the Air Jordan, so it was retired in 1988. In 2002, the Dunk was reimaged though as a skateboarding shoe hence the “SB” in SB Dunk. Nike had finally made a shoe to…

Hottest Drops from Supremes Week 1
What started as a clothing and skateboarding lifestyle brand in New York has become one of streetwear cultures biggest contributors. Supreme has built their empire among hypebeasts because of how popular the brand has become. The logo is recognizable among all who respect the street wear culture and because of their popularity they have done drops with big names like “Gucci” and “Louis Vuitton”. Typically, Supreme does their drops in the winter and spring; with their most recent drop releasing before this post is published I felt it would be necessary to look at some of the pieces in this drop. SUPREME Small Box Tee My favorite piece of the…

What is a HypeBeast?
As with most cultures you can find people who push their favorite hobbies past the limit of an average consumer. In sports you have people who collect trading cards and know everything there is to know about their favorite teams and players. In the car world you have people who collect the most expensive cars and modify them to make them go faster or look better. In street wear these types of people are often referred to as hypebeasts. Where did the term HypeBeast come from? The term hypebeast was originally used to describe a person who loves fashion in particular the most hyped streetwear fashion. These people would be…
