Rumored Air Jordan 1 Reimagined “Chicago”

Michael Jordan wearing AJ1’s

If you have kept up with any of my previous blogs it is apparent that a main staple of being a hypebeast is the clothing and sneakers one wears. Everyone has their own style but the hypebeast style is about showing off the best-looking lifestyle clothes that one can get their hands on. Showing off the best clothes and wearing exclusive brands is cool and all, but the fit isn’t complete without the right pair of sneakers. For this reason, a major part of being a hypebeast is also being a sneakerhead.

One of the most sought-after sneakers and my personal favorite is the Air Jordan 1. Everything about this sneaker is legendry since it’s first release in 1985 following Michael Jordan’s signing to the Nike brand in 1985. The popular myth is that Jordan wore the original “banned” red and black colorway on the court and was fined for breaking an NBA player gear policy for wearing these shoes which is why it got the name “banned”. Since then, the Air Jordan 1 has released in multiple colorways which most resell for way over retail price. The sneaker of the hour is the rumored Air Jordan 1 Reimagined “Chicago” that is said to be released later this year.

This sneaker is going to have the iconic white, red, and black colorway. The shoe is rumored to look a lot like the model released in 1985 with a better toebox design. I know as a sneaker fan myself I was hyped to see the rumors all over popular sneakerhead blogs. As with most drops this colorway will most definitely be hard to get and resell for more than double of it’s retail value. This colorway being a classic reimagined is what I have wanted for a long time, so I am ready to go on the hunt for these shoes and will be keeping tabs open all year for more news on them.

If I were to guess like most popular releases these sneakers will be sold on the SNKRS app in a raffle type way. Trying to find these at a local shoe store will probably be impossible because of rumors of shoes getting back doored at stores before they even hit the store floor. Otherwise, stores may do a raffle as well where you enter the raffle for a chance to buy the shoe. Regardless trying to get a pair of these sneakers will be hard, but well worth.
