About Us
Midwest SWIP members actively seek work that engages feminist practices in resistance to white supremacy, misogyny, and other forms of oppression. Past calls for papers give a good indication of the core interests of many members.
We strive to maintain a rigorous, yet supportive atmosphere. Each session is one hour long, and we do not hold concurrent sessions. We encourage presenters and attendees to be present for all sessions.
The program committee gives preference to women and members of other marginalized groups who are working on feminist projects that work to resist multiple, enmeshed oppressions.
We welcome the work of scholars at any stage in their careers as well as the contributions of community members engaged in this work.
