Buying Myself A Gift
This weeks blog is about purchasing a gift for myself that I’ve been wanting for awhile. I have been needing a new winter for the past 4 years ever since I graduated high school. I had purchased one last year that really didn’t meet my standards of comfort or style, but was okay for handling the sharp winds. I always kind of wanted a black jacket with a hood and that was more stylish I just never had the money, or thought it was worth spending over $100 on something I was really excited about. I had been looking at jackets pretty much since June, but I didn’t really find…

Self-Date
The mission for this week was to take myself out on a date. Spend time with myself and attend to my needs myself. Without help from anyone else. I bet some of you have heard about a self-date, or the phrase date yourself first. But you might wonder what that actually encompasses. I started the day out by going to the gym and I was planning on wearing a cute outfit and going out to a restaurant to have a nice meal somewhere new in Whitewater, but after I got thinking about it is that really what I wanted? WORKOUT ROUTINE
I have always wanted to be more consistent and have a weekly workout routine. In high school I participated in a few sports early on, but towards my senior year I just coasted through an intense gym class. I think what it really comes down to is I so afraid of failing that I just don’t try. I don’t let myself fail by just avoiding the effort in a task. Before COVID-19 I had interviewed…

Morning Routine
Good afternoon everyone! The first step in this journey of bettering myself and finding my likes, and what works better for my daily routine starts with breakfast. My morning routine used to consist of scrolling on apps and procrastinating until the last possible second to shower and rush out the door. Sometimes even way past the point of being able to shower anymore. I would just avoid getting up until I had to work or I had some other obligation that made me get up. I think this started with when I moved out of my moms and I lost sight of how good I feel when I actually try…

Hello all!
My name is Ashley, I recently turned 23 and I am a graphic design major with a minor in advertising. I am attending UW-Whitewater; this is going to be my last semester. I am an only child, to a single mother. I am needing a little self-love/T.L.C and I thought using my blog post assignment for my Social Media Optimization class was a perfect opportunity to multitask; something graphic designers have to be really good at. This blog is going to be a little different than most blogs. I am using this page for personal growth and discovery, almost like a journal. At the beginning of Covid-19, I called off…
