2022 Fall Divisional Meeting – Thank you!

Another successful divisional meeting is in the books! A sincere thank you for your attendance, participation, and feedback. It was wonderful to hear how much fun we all had as well as your appreciation for the knowledge gained. We hope you had a chance to meet our newest team members and/or catch up with someone you haven’t seen recently.

We were happy to welcome back our very own entertainer, Sean Lehr. Great job again Sean! Thank you for your performance.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone in Spring 2023!

Welcome James Wong!

On behalf of the entire ICIT organization, we would like to welcome James Wong as the new Manager of Administrative Information Systems.

James responsibilities include providing leadership, management and guidance to the application development, BA/PMO and the middleware teams; managing large, complex projects, and fostering project management methodology and culture on campus. He will work with a variety of faculty, staff and business units to launch new student success and operational efficiency initiatives. 

James is an alumnus of UW Whitewater. He and his family have made Wisconsin their home for over 30 years.  He has been involved in various roles in the IT field and is excited to bring his skills to the team.

We are thrilled to have James join our team, please take some time to welcome him when you can!

Welcome, Katie Kowalkiewicz

On behalf of the entire ICIT team, we would like to welcome Katie Kowalkiewicz as our new Administrative Assistant.  Katie will provide support for ICIT HR and Finance. Her main responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the recruitment and hiring process, including requesting approval for new recruitments and ensuring each step of this process is tracked and completed accurately
  • Supporting our student employee recruitment process, including posting positions on Handshake, submitting new-hire requests, and ensuring new-hire paperwork is submitted timely and accurately
  • On-boarding new employees
  • Assisting with travel arrangements and e-reimbursements
  • Assisting with monitoring of ICIT GPR and PR financial accounts
  • Processing chargebacks for purchases equipment, software, and technology
  • Provide administrative support to the CIO

From Katie: “Hi! I am very excited to join the ICIT team. I am originally from Savannah, GA and moved to the Madison area about 8 years ago. I moved to Delavan last summer with my husband, Andy, and our 2 boys, Logan (11) and Owen (6). In my free time, I enjoy reading, camping with my family, and learning how to ski – which absolutely terrifies me!”  

Welcome, Bobbi Yach

On behalf of the entire ICIT organization, we are excited to welcome Bobbi Yach as our IT Business Analyst. Bobbi will assist campus departments in analyzing and modeling processes flow, generating business cases, gathering and documenting general requirements, creating gap analysis and contributing in many aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Bobbi’s main focus will be to:

  • Support Document Management (ImageNow) System
  • Identify and Document Financial processes that use document management
  • Engage in process mapping with the new Workday functionality

Here is a little bit about Bobbi:

“After working in the Travel Insurance Industry, I did a career change and became a Business Analyst in Healthcare Industry.  I knew being a Business Analyst was a good fit for me as I enjoy figuring things out and finding solutions.  I live in Fort Atkinson and enjoy watching my kids’ sports, baking/cooking, and vacationing in Northern Wisconsin.”   

Welcome, Ryan Wright

On behalf of the entire ICIT organization, we are excited to welcome Ryan Wright as our IT Business Analyst. Ryan will assist campus departments in analyzing and modeling processes flow, generating business cases, gathering and documenting general requirements, creating gap analysis and contributing in many aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Ryan’s main focus will be to:

  • Identify and Document HR processes that use document management
  • Engage in process mapping with the new Workday functionality
  • Document processes that insure PII data integrity for the individuals who have both Student and HR records
  • Document WINS – GL interface. Help map to WINS – Workday interface   

About Ryan:

“Greetings! I’m from Madison and now live in Oconomowoc with my wonderful wife Sarah and our (mostly) wonderful dog Ruby (she tries to be good, she really does). My hobbies include running, keeping up with my 18 nieces and nephews and learning to keep up with my father-in-law’s farm. I’ve been a Business Analyst for just over 10 years now and my passion at work is connecting people with the technology solutions they need to do their best work. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the Warhawk team!”
