iCIT is seeking a Network Cabling Technician to install, maintain and repair low voltage A/V and network cabling infrastructure to support audio, video and data networks on campus. Advertising for the position will begin this weekend in local media outlets.
Working under the direction of the Facilities Technologist, the person in this position will perform duties relating to network cabling and classroom technology. The position requires knowledge of network cabling systems including, but not limited to, twisted-pair, CAT3, CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics as well as knowledge of telecommunications cabling standards such as TIA-568. General knowledge of computer networks and networked systems is necessary.
