Sara Deschner, an IT instructor in the College of Business and Economics, has joined iCIT for summer 2011, taking interim responsibility for managing the General Access labs and instructional facilities summer projects.
For the past three years, Sara has worked for iCIT during summers and during the academic year on special projects related to labs and technology infrastructure. In her expanded role this summer, she serves as the primary contact person for General Access lab operations, and supervises the student lab manager. In addition, she provides oversight to the AV staff to monitor the progress of the lab and classroom summer projects, and will report status to iCIT management. Sara also is leading the second phase of the desktop virtualization project, to make lab software readily accessible to students outside of lab facilities.
Sara is working with Mary Jo deMeza to transition responsibilities before Mary Jo’s retirement date at the end of June. Her office space is in McGraw 13. Please join us in welcoming Sara to the iCIT team for summer 2011!
