Instructional Technology Services Transition

Please note the following changes in personnel at iCIT/ITS that affect procedures on various services offered by Instructional Technology Services and the Learning Technology Center.

Distance Education support has been transferred to iCIT/ITS from Continuing Education since June. For communication regarding the DE room reservation or Distance Education Program via Interactive video, please contact Lorna Wong or email disted@uww.edu.

The AV (audiovisual) area is also in transition. For AV equipment checkout, customers should contact 262.472.5531 and leave a voice mail message. Or they may also place a request via email to AV@uww.edu. Customers will be contacted with a confirmation of the request and pickup arrangement the next business day. Reservations for AV equipment should be made well in advance. We need at least 24 hours turnaround time.

For classroom technology needs, please contact Brett Cook or email AV@uww.edu. Following Jim Mills departure, Brett Cook is in charge of the classroom AV support and consultation duties.

Customers needing D2L support should email directly to d2l-support@uww.edu. For other instructional technology consulation, please contact Lorna Wong or David Delgado by calling the LTC during office hours at 472-1004 or emailing LTC@uww.edu.

We will continue to respond to requests and problems as best as we can. We will also appreciate your understanding and patience as ITS goes through its transition to fill vacated positions.

Moving to BadgerNet Converged Network

UWW is getting a new connection to the outside world. Beginning in late July, iCIT will be converting to a new state network connection for data and video, called BadgerNet Converged Network (BCN). The new BCN connection replaces the previous BadgerNet connection from WISCNET, who provides network connectivity to the UWW campus. This change means that UWW will have a new ISP transport provider, and some new hardware will be installed in the data center. End users will notice no change in service. More information about BCN is available at the DOA website.
