Betty Thompson, Systems Development Specialist, Administrative Information Services (AIS), has announced she will be leaving iCIT to take a position with UW-Madison Division of Information Technology (DoIT). In her new job, Betty will work in the Financial Services area of DoIT.
Since joining iCIT in 2000, Betty has been a key contributor to many of the AIS team successes, particularly in the Student Financial area. She provided conversion, implementation and sole support of PeopleSoft Student Financials, a major systems enhancement. She also provided in-depth data analysis to resolve multi-year accumulation of accounting variances, and developed new methods for tracking and reporting that have enhanced financial efficiencies across third-party and internal systems. A highlight of her career at UW-Whitewater, Betty proposed, designed, developed and implemented a custom GL Interface with daily reconciliation reporting, a technology solution that continues to enable workflow integrity across the University.
Betty’s last day in iCIT will be Wednesday, Feb. 22. We thank Betty for her many years of dedicated service to UW-Whitewater iCIT and AIS, and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
