ICIT Personnel Announcement – Richard Durrant
We recently announced some personnel changes within ICIT and today we have one more to announce. Once again we are losing a longtime ICIT team member but this one comes with a silver lining.
Richard served as the lead Network Cable Technician with ICIT for a little over 6 years. Richard is leaving ICIT, but he’s not leaving UW-Whitewater. Richard has accepted a new role within the Facilities Planning & Management department. In addition to supporting ICIT needs for infrastructure/data cabling, Richard will be taking on additional Project Management responsibilities for FP&M. This new role officially started on October 6th. ICIT and FP&M constantly work together on increasing our campus network/infrastructure. Though it’s sad to see another teammate go, Richard will continue to work closely with ICIT.
We want to thank Richard for all his time, effort, and passion he dedicated to ICIT. Without strong teammates like Richard, you cannot have a strong team.
For any questions regarding this announcement, please contact Ray Stanek.
Recent ICIT Personnel Announcements
As you may know recently there have been many organizational changes within ICIT. We have had two amazing, long-standing ICIT team members leave to seize the next step in their careers. We have no doubt that they will succeed in their new roles. ICIT also gains a new team member whose responsibility will be to provide the best customer support to the UW-Whitewater community.
It is with regret that we announce the departures of Renee Pfeifer-Luckett and Susan Degen from ICIT. During their time at UW-Whitewater, they implemented many initiatives benefitting the learning environment for both Faculty and Students. Their vision and hard work resulted in a better overall learning ecosystem at UW-Whitewater.
We are making transition plans to get us through our critical projects and tasks and will keep you posted on the progress. We appreciate everyone’s effort in helping us during this challenging period. For any questions, please contact Elena Pokot.

Renee served as the Director of Instructional Technology Services within the LTC. Renee accepted a position with the UW-System and will function as the Director of Learning Technology Development. Her new role will support the entire UW-System and continue the advancement of learning technology throughout the system.
Susan Degen

Interim LTC Director
We are fortunate that David Reinhart, Ph.D., Philosophy and Religious Studies agreed to step in as an Interim LTC Director. David has been a long supporter of LTC. He brings to us a keen understanding of effective application of technology in instructional delivery. The search for Permanent LTC Director is underway.
We are evaluation gaps left by Susan’s departure as well as the new trends and needs in in instructional technology. This will guide us as we establish a new scope of responsibilities for Susan’s replacement.
We appreciate everyone’s effort in helping us during this challenging period. For any questions, please contact Elena Pokot.
