The latest news for the ITS team
AIS team member Matt Albers has given notice that he is leaving ICIT, his last day will be Friday, November 13.
In his role as a PeopleSoft Analyst/Developer, Matt helped design and develop IS applications, and he worked closely with the Financial Services Office. During his time with ICIT, Matt was a critical component of the Oracle Upgrade and served in an important support role for PeopleSoft users on campus.

ICIT, please give a warm welcome the new Director of Learning Technology, Nicole Weber, PhD. Dr. Weber comes to us from UW-Milwaukee, where she worked in UWM’s equivalent to our LTC. At UWM, she provided pedagogical and technical support for university teaching staff needing assistance developing online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses. She also supervised level 1 technicians providing D2L support, participated in conferences and workshops focusing on learning technology, and wrote grant requests for initiatives related to learning technology. Dr. Weber also served as an associate lecturer at UWM and where she taught multiple classes on educational policy and community studies.
As UW-Whitewater’s Director of Learning Technology, Dr. Weber will be the campus’s leading voice on learning technology initiatives and projects. Along with providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to the LTC team, she will also oversee support for campus learning technologies, serve on committees focusing on learning technology and she will help secure grant funds. Dr. Weber’s first day at UW-Whitewater was October 21st.

A celebration in honor of Theresa Parker will be held on Friday, October 16th from 12:00 – 1:30 PM in Andersen Library, Room 1015 (AIS area). Theresa likes to cook, so we will do a pot-luck style party over the lunch hour, please sign up to bring a dish using this link. If you would like to donate to the Theresa gift fund, you can drop your money off at the ICIT office or Ben’s office (Andersen 2008B). All money raised will go towards a gift for Theresa.
