ICIT is currently looking for an AV Technician. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the ongoing operation of classroom equipment. This position works as part of the campus laboratory/classroom technology support team and reports to the Director of Instructional Technology Services Renee Pfeifer-Luckett.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in working with current lab and classroom equipment (e.g., data projectors, sound systems, and other peripherals) and their interface to computers and networked systems.
- Knowledge of basic electronics technology.
- Ability to diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers about technology.
- Ability to maintain thorough project documentation.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift at least 75 pounds.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Ability to work professionally and effectively as part of a team with other technology specialists.
