The 4thof July is right around the corner, which means it’s time to start planning that perfect party with all of your family and friends. There are so many things that you can do for a 4thof July party but a few tips I have include having some awesome party decorations, making some festive foods, plan fun activities for you and your friends, and of course fireworks.
Awesome Party Decorations
As college students, we don’t have a lot of extra cash to spend on decorations, so I’m going to tell you about some simple decorations you can get at the dollar store! The first party decoration is balloons! Red, white, and blue balloons are a simple and cheap way to make your space look festive. Next is having red, white, and blue platters and dishes for all of your party food. Having fun bowls for your chips and dip or having a festive fruit platter are sure to be crowd pleasers.
Festive Food
With the beautiful weather, everyone is pulling out their grills for a summer barbeque. This is the perfect idea for the 4thof July. Buy a couple packages of hot dogs and burgers with all the fixings! This is great food for guests and it doesn’t require utensils. Grabbing a couple bags of chips and dip are always great with burgers and hot dogs or just as a snack! Lastly, making festive fruit trays and red white and blue desserts are a delicious treat. But don’t forget to grab s’mores supplies! A bonfire is a must have for the 4thof July and s’mores are the perfect way to end a night full of fun!
Fun Activities
There are so many fun things to do on the 4thof July, either during the day or at night. Some fun things to do during the day are going boating or playing yard games. Going for a boat ride is one of my favorite activities. If you have access to a lake or another body of water, other fun things to do include going tubing down a river, or a jet ski ride. Yard games are always a crowd pleaser! Some of the best yard games are bags (or corn hole), ladder golf, and Frisbee.
Fireworks
If there is one thing that is iconic to the 4th of July, it’s fireworks. During this time of the summer there are so many fireworks shops open with an assortment of goodies for you to choose from. Some of my personal favorites are bottle rockets and “weeping willow tree” fireworks. These are always a big hit with my family because they are exciting for both kids and adults. If your family celebrates the 4thwith kids around, a few other fun ‘fireworks’ to pick up are sparklers and snaps. I’ve always loved spelling out my name with a sparkler and watching my cousin’s excitement when they pop a snap on the sidewalk. The best way to end the night on the 4thof July is to have a bonfire. Sitting around a fire with your friends is so cozy and relaxing. But don’t forget to pick up some s’mores supplies.
With these party essentials you are sure to throw a 4thof July bash that everyone will love. We’d love to hear what your favorite 4thof July memories are or what you consider to be party essentials. Comment below to share what you think!

I really like the holidays and I try to celebrate all the holidays and prepare a party! For me, the scenery and atmosphere are important, so before each party, I study everything about the scenery of this holiday and the history! I love this blog https://www.fastballoons.com/en/content/58-why-are-napkins-called-napkins-full-story-of-napkins ! Here I found a lot of good information about the holidays!
