Hey Warhawks! We’ve been teasing big, bold changes coming to Warhawk Dining and it’s finally time to peel back the curtains and reveal your completely revitalized campus dining experience. All new locations, technology, and loads of interactive events!

New Locations

First, don’t worry, our beloved Erbert and Gerbert’s is absolutely here to stay at both Esker and Drumlin dining halls.

Esker has received a complete makeover, including new wall paint and vinyl designs, as well as all new food locations:

The Eatery is our all-you-care-to-eat area and has 13 different stations, including Delicious Without, a station with items made without the top 9 allergens.

Prairie Street Market is our convenience store area that serves Erbert and Gerbert’s, as well as our all-day breakfast location, The Roost.

Waking up early is no longer a hurdle blocking your breakfast enjoyment, The Roost now serves all-day breakfast and other fried favorites, so feel free to grab a bite from 7:00am-12:00am.

Drumlin also has some new things to see. We’re so excited for new students to experience this dining for the first time, and for returning students to see our continued dedication to providing the best dining experience possible!

Like Esker, Drumlin also contains its own market, The Drumlin Market. This area serves common convenience store food items, including snacks and beverages, as well as some hygiene products. Erbert and Gerbert’s is also located in this area.

The Perch is Drumlin’s all-you-care-to-eat dining area, which includes 11 different stations, as well as our Pure Eats station, which hosts items made without the top 9 allergens. This area also includes an Avoiding Gluten pantry for those with special dietary needs.

The heart of our campus, the James R. Connor University Center, is no outlier to our complete dining renovation. Let’s get into it!

A name voted in by students: The Dub is our all new fast casual grill located in the Down Under of the University Center. Here, you can also experience our new Mobile Ordering technology!

At Ike Schaffer Commons you will still be able to get all-you-care-to-eat breakfast from 7:00am-10:30am and then at 11:00am it will switch over to these amazing concepts:

Absurd Bird & Iron Waffles is a brand new concept serving classic chicken and waffle dishes.

Be transported back in time at our classic dinner food location, Burger 262.

What if you wanted… more options? Willie Presents is our new student-voted food location. Food here changes EVERY semester based on YOUR choice. Fall 2024’s choice is Ciao Bella’s BYO Pasta!

The Williams Center has been vending drinks for a while now, but it’s long been missing something… Something delicious… Something you crave… FOOD! The Williams Center will now be home to easy-access food vending with our new Super Powered Vending technology, Victory Station, that is available as long as the building is open!

Have a pick-me-up at Andersen Library with Thought Station’s convenient snack bar options for busy staff and students. Hyland Hall will continue to be a We Proudly Serve Starbucks location at Deloitte Cafe. The Artisan is host to a variety of fresh, custom-made sandwich options at the Center of the Arts.

Rock County campus students, you’re included in our renovations! Rockin’ Grill may have the same name, but now with bold new flavors!

New Events & Programs

As a new student, it can be daunting to get involved. This is why we’re introducing loads of events specifically designed to help you ease into your new college life, as well as continue to involve current UW-Whitewater students.

First Year Eats is a series of events created to help grow community between first year students and the rest of the campus population. During these events you will have a chance to Mix & Mingle with fellow first year students or even get to know the different people serving you food in the dining halls.

Learn to cook and prepare dishes at our Teaching Kitchens. Cooking is an essential skill to have after college life, so this can be extremely helpful to pick up while you’re here!

Even if you’re not following our dates for events, we’ll be hosting “Love, Warhawk Dining” events. A pop-up style program that will happen throughout the entire semester and around the entire campus. Not feeling the current events? We’ve thought of that, too. DIY Events allow you to Build Your Own trail mix, candy salad, lemonade, mac & cheese, and anything else we think will make your day brighter.

Inclusivity is so important to us, so we hope this wide variety of options can get YOU involved this semester. It’s looking bright and it’s looking bold, Warhawks.

New Technology

Warhawk Dining’s new experience also comes with a lot of technological upgrades, including sustainability initiatives, new ordering apps, and more!

Robotic Automated Delivery Systems (RADS) is our new super-powered vending system that will be available at Thought Station and Victory Station.

Dine On Campus is our new website and app which keeps you up to date on our hours of operation, menus, events, and much, much more. Mobile Ordering is now available at Deloitte Café, Concessions, and The Dub by ordering off on the Mobile Transact app.

Our menus will now have detailed nutritional information available at our “What’s on the Menu” page on Dine On Campus and at most of our dining locations throughout the university. This is possible thanks to our new menu system, WAND.

We’ll be tracking our waste with Warhawk Dining’s Waste Not program, where we get a behind the scenes look at where the waste is going and how it is being processed and ideally reused.

We hope this list of dining changes has gotten you excited for this brand new semester with Warhawk Dining. Make sure to follow @WarhawkDining on social media platforms for all of the latest updates!
