So…its halfway through the semester and you start to sweat; not because of midterms, the roomie drama, or even the fact that the end of the semester is drawing near and you are sooo not ready.  No, you’re sweating because your Purple Point balance is dipping to dangerously low levels and, as a college student, you don’t have much money to add into them.  You try to ignore the pang of fear in your chest as each receipt shows your tiny balance shrinking and you wonder how on Earth you are going to make it to the end of the semester.

Well have no fear, the Online Card Office is here!  While you may not have much money to put into your account perhaps a loving parent, family member, or even friend does!  Upcoming birthday?  Ask them to add Purple Points!  Easter gift?  Why not Purple Points?

That’s right, individuals other than you, the student, can add Purple Points to your account and we at the HawkCard Office have a very convenient way for your loved ones to add money instantly and from the comfort of their home or office.  By hopping on their computer and following this link to the Online Card Office your family and friends can add Purple Points with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover: https://hawkcard-sp.blackboard.com/eaccounts/AnonymousHome.aspx.  You can also find the link to this page on the HawkCard Office website by selecting “Deposit With Credit/Debit Card”.  But enough about that, you only care about how you get those wondrous Purple Points into your account so you can spend them again.

How to Add Purple Points to a Student’s Account

  1. Follow this link to the Online CardOffice :https://hawkcardsp.blackboard.com/eaccounts/AnonymousHome.aspx.
  2. On the sign in page, below the log in box select “Make a Guest Deposit” and enter the student’s formal first and last name and ID number (7 digit number on HawkCard).
  3. When you select “Contribute” on the bottom right side of the page a new page will open asking what amount you want deposited (this is where how nice you are to said person could play a vital role).
  4. Once “Next” is clicked on the bottom of the page, the all important credit card information needs to be filled in (here is the part where you remind said person of your undying love for them).
  5. Finally, finally, finally, after submitting the credit card information, and receiving a confirmation email, the Purple Points are deposited into your once empty account, filling it with joy and possibility!
