Reference librarians Sue Coenen and Martha Stephenson will be presenting a LEARN Center program on September 21st from 12:30-1:30 p.m. called Tools to Tenure: Library Aids for Publishing.
Attendees will learn about Library and Internet resources for determining article importance including ISI Journal Citation Reports (journal impact factors) and Cabell’s Directory of Publishing Opportunities (acceptance rates). In addition, the database, Ulrichsweb(TM) Global Serials Directory and a useful tool from Google Scholar for searching within citing articles will be demonstrated. Hands-on time will be provided.
