Just a couple of handy tidbits of information that task force members have come across recently:
- Right on the heels of the NCAA’s creation of the Inclusion of Transgender Student-Athletes Handbook, ESPN is airing a documentary on Renee Richards, the first transgender tennis player. The film, called Renee, provides the historical context, as well as how Renee is doing today, over thirty years later. Check your local listings for show times.
- The Department of State has recently changed the policy with regards to the issuance of passports for individuals undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
- The Girl Scouts of America is an inclusive organization, and you should support them. They defended the right of a seven year-old trans-identified child to join a club. Read more about it on TransGriot.
