The LGBT* Task Force met for the first time this Spring Semester on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Here is what what discussed as well as highlights of upcoming events:
- Individual and family therapist Jessica Kota from Mingus Mountain Academy will speak about The Two-Spirited: Living in Multiple Worlds on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in UC 275A from 3:30-4:30pm
- Film: (A)sexual – Facing a sex obsessed culture, a mountain of stereotypes and misconceptions, and a lack of social or scientific research, asexuals-people who experience no sexual attraction—struggle to claim their identity – Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Warhawk Connection Center from 3:30-5pm
- Committee will soon be taking nominations for the Rainbow Celebration of Excellence awards, so keep watch for more applications and fill them out for anyone you would like to see honored for their contributions to the LGBT* community
