December 2013 Meeting

The LGBT Task Force held its final meeting for the Fall 2013 semester on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Some of the topics discussed are:

Safer Sex Drive was very successful!

LEAP Team proposal for faculty and staff to receive training for LGBT* issues

Discussed the LGBT* student panel and the Mara Kiesling presentation

Planning for upcoming 2014 Spring semester

The Chancellor’s Committee on LGBT* Issues

The Chancellor’s Committee on LGBT Issues is a campus committee whose members are representative of campus constituencies. Its function is to offer advice and assistance to the Chancellor, Provost and Equal Opportunity Officer ensuring that the voices of LGBT employees and students are heard and that equal opportunities for LGBT employees and students continue to be carried out as fundamental responsibilities of the institution and are carried out appropriately in all aspects of employment and student life.
