Continuing Photo Shoot Week!

Hello again everyone!

This post is all about the little details that you will want your photographer to get on camera before you don’t remember them. You are going to have a lot on your mind for the big day and even though you think you will remember everything, you will not remember the things that really made that day yours.

The details are going to start right away in the morning when you get ready. It is so nice to have a photographer come in the morning to do some photos because then you get some before, during and after the wedding photos.

This picture below is of this bride’s hair, something like this is a detail that your guest will see but you will not see much of it. When you look back at your day you will want to have a visual of what you looked like.

The next photos are some for the morning as well. This are just details that you do not want to miss out on get photos from and having them the rest of your life.

With some of those photos, you can share with your kids and they can share with their kids as well.

The details are so important, because some of these details will not last forever. The picture is an example below, having your bouquet be the center of attention for a picture is a great idea. This is because a bouquet is most likely made out of real flowers, which do not last forever but photos do.

This last photo is a reminder to be you. There are most likely a lot of expectations from everyone from your wedding. However, as long as you are happy and you are you, it will be the best day of your life.

It’s Photo Shoot Week!

Hello everyone! I hope you didn’t miss me too much.

So no matter what kind of wedding you are having, you have to document the location with lots and lots of photos. This week I am going to share with you some of my favorite photos during the big day that I want to be taken during my big day.

I will first share with you some photos to take with your maid of honor. The first photo is of the bride and her maid of honor. I love this one because it really shows their closeness and how they are having fun and laughing.

I choose this next one because a maid of honor is usually someone you have known for a while and that you have grown really close to throughout the years. This shows this friendship through a picture of a picture.

This next photo I am so excited to take with my maid of honor because it will show how we are getting ready with our hair did and our coffee in the other hand. I say that the more pictures you can get, the better to remember that day.

Please take this next photo with the second two most important people in your wedding, your maid of honor and your best man. This just shows that friendships are strong even though there is a new married couple in the mix.

Continuing Of Another Mix Up Week!

Hello again everyone!

This post is going to be focusing on the b word that no one wants to hear in weddings, the…….……….………………… BUDGET!

Below is a breakdown of a $10,000 budget. Now this is really hard to stick to, but it is possible to stay at this budget. To do so, think about what you really need. You don’t need everything, you don’t need to have so much that you are overwhelmed.

There are some very cute and cheap wedding venues that will not cost you $1,250. Do your research and talks to people that have had weddings. Find out what those people liked and didn’t like about. Was it worth the money that they spent? If they could do it again, would they have still chose the same venue?

Try to incorporate a place with food that includes dessert, then you only have to have a small cake. I am doing the generic desserts for the guests, but for the bridal party and the immediate family, there will be cake.

You can plan this wedding yourself! You don’t need a coordinator! Use your bridal party and believe in yourself.

As far as your dress, you are a princess and this is your day. Get what you want but don’t be afford of simple, some of the simplest dresses are the prettiest.

Spend money in the music because it will entertain your guests and they will have so much fun. It will make you so happy to see that all your hard work is making others smile.

Have someone good photography are wedding because you want to be able to have excellent photos to look back on when you are older and want to show your kids.

The rest is up to you, you are the one that is deciding what YOUR day is going to be like. These are just some of my thoughts.

Another Mix Up Week!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to give you another mix up week this week because it is my spring break next week and I will not be posting. These two posts this week will give you something to do while you wait for my next posts.

Now that you have asked special people to be part of your special day, you need to start planning! Now this planning maybe decided on how fast you are planning to get married. However, this plan that I am going to show you is twelve months long. You can change this to spread it out more or to consolidate it all.

These items are so important even though they are so far away from your big day. These are fun things that you can take time on and really have fun with it.

These next steps are starting to get more important but you can still have fun with it! Just watch out when you get to the register because you want specific things but some of those things are too expensive for people to buy. Make sure that you are flexible and have more “cheaper”, less expensive items with some of those big ticket items.

Now there is a big gap to do this list, this is because it is very personal to you. You need to get what you want on your big day! I know for me, during this next week I will be glowing in the sun with how many decorations and wedding planning that I will be doing over spring break!

Now this is where it starts to get really exciting! You are so close to your wedding! Start distressing and having fun with the people that are part of your special day.

Mix Up Week Continued!

In this post I will be talking about fun accessory called t-shirts. I will be talking about how you can make these for you and your brides mates for your big day and even use these t-shirts later.

I know I am super excited to be able to wear “bride to be” and “wifey” t-shirts and to buy some for my brides mates. However, I have been looking for some to buy and it is just so expensive! This is money that I just don’t have with paying for the wedding. These are some of the t-shirts that I was interested in.

Below is a way that I found to make your own t-shirts and a big way to save money. I am going to be trying to make these over my spring break in two weeks. I will share with you the results but for now I am going to tell you what you will need and how to make these in your own home.

Things you need:

  • V-neck t-shirt
  • Printer
  • Exacto Knife
  • Fabric Paint (choose a color)
  • A dabber paint brush
  • Piece of card board

Now that you have these supplies, you can start to make these do it yourself t-shirts. Print out a word like “Mrs.”, “Bride to be”, “Wifey” or “Maid of honor” is some examples.

  1. Make the font size as big as you want it on your t-shirt.
  2. Once you print this, take the exacto knife and cut of the letters, keeping the negative space untouched like it shows above.
  3. Put the cardboard inside of the shirt so you don’t have the paint bleed through to the other side.
  4. Now put the paper onto of the t-shirt where you want to have the letters appear.
  5. Take the dabber brush with your selected paint on it and dab in the cut out space for the letters.
  6. Let it dry for at least 24-48 hors.

Now you have saved money but have cute t-shirts for you and wedding party!

Mix Up Week!

This week I am going to still talk about wedding related topics but this time is going to be about all the fun accessories. I will be talking about how you can make for your big day and even use these accessories later.

Once you get engaged, you want to ask people to be in your bridal party to help your plan and celebrate your big day! You need to pick the people that you want to have these rolls. Once you have done that now it is time to make some “will you be my brides mate?” gifts. You could buy them online but these can get very expensive. To make your own could save your do it yourself bride budget.

Below is a set that you could by online that someone else has made. To be these are very inspiring to make your own gifts but too expensive and not personal enough to give to someone that is so important.

Now you can make a way more personalized and meaningful gift box by yourself. Below is an example of this.

This was a wooden box that was painted the wedding color. Now at first the person you are asking will probably not know that it is. Make this box as personal as you can, in the example they have the top inside part of the box set up as a collage of pictures that are of the bride to be and of the future bridal party member. This could also be a spot for a personalized note. The rest of the items can be what they like, this don’t have to be big-ticketed items either. A collection of $10-$15 things will easily do it.
