UPDATE (1:00 PM): We’ve received additional reports of slowness with rendering documents in the Document Viewer in D2L after the fix from this morning. Learn@UW technologists are working to resolve the issue, and we will update this news item with more information as we receive it.
UPDATE (8:15 AM): In order to address the Document Viewer issues, Learn@UW performed storage work, which was completed this morning and the issue affecting the Document Viewer has been resolved as of 6:45 AM this morning (3/5/14).
Additionally, there was a brief service disruption from approximately 6:25 AM through 6:34 AM. Users may have been unable to access the service or received error messages during this timeframe.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE: Some files viewed through the document viewer, such as through the Content or Dropbox tool, have been loading inconsistently. Files that are not loading instead show a grey screen with an error message that says: “There was an error converting this document. Some or all of it may not be displayed.”
This issue has been reported to Learn@UW, and they are investigating. The current workaround is to download the file and view it from there.
