START EM OR SIT EM? WEEK 4 EDITON

A lot of high scoring games week three which meant high scoring fantasy scores also. Hopefully all of your players scored high and led you to victory! If you are 0-3 or 1-2 winning this week is crucial for your hopes of making thew playoffs and winning the crown. And I am here to help you!

Quarterbacks

Start Em

Matthew Stafford DET vs NO

The Saints defense is Abysmal. I believe they will contain the run game only because they won’t be a lot of running. It will be the Stafford show this weekend as the Saints’ defense has allowed 94 points scored on them and 761 passing yards in three games! If the trend continues, Staford will have 250 yards and two touchdowns, a reliable number 1 QB this week.

Joe Burrow CIN vs JAC

Burrow had a solid game last weekend against the Eagles with 312 passing yards and two touchdowns. What interested me the most was 44 throwing attempts and 61 throwing attempts week 2. The volume is there, and the matchup is there against a weak secondary of the Jaguars. His stat line should be what he got in week 2 with 300 plus passing yards and three touchdowns. He should be started as a high-end number 1 QB this week.

Sit Em

Tom Brady

Brady looked good against the Denver defense, but I believe he will have trouble against a solid defense that is the Chargers. He also will not have Godwin this weekend either, and he did poorly in week 2 when Godwin missed that game. I still do not believe Brady is 100% comfortable in the new offense, and this will show when he gets pressured.

Running Backs

Start Em

James White NE vs @KC

White is coming back to play after the horrible accident with his parents. The patriots will be behind the chiefs this game and will try to play catch up. Leading White to be on the field more often and more chances to catch some balls from the backfield. He is a solid number 2 RB with a low-end number 1 upside.

Sit Em

Adrian Peterson DET vs NOEven though Peterson is right very well this season, I do not think he will see much work this weekend. The saints still have a high-powered offense witch will lead to a shoot out between brees and Stafford, leaving no room for Peterson to shine. If any Detroit running back will benefit and do decent in this game, it will be swift as he will see the majority of snaps in this game.

Wide Recievers

Start Em

Kenny Golladay DET vs NO

I was spot on last week with Golladay for six catches, and that trend should continue. I love Golladay this week as the Saints got destroyed by the packers by air last week, and Detroit will look to do the same thing. I believe Golladay will be in for a big day this Sunday with eight catches, 100 yards, and at least one touchdown. He is a number 1 WR this weekend.

Tyler Boyd CIN vs JAC

With the emergence of Joe Burrow, the person benefitting the most is Tyler Boyd with back to back 20+ fantasy points. This should continue for at least one more week, and they face the Jaguars, who let up 248 passing yards a game. It also helps that Boyd is Burrows’s favorite, targeting him 13 times last game! That sheer amount alone makes him a must-start, but the matchup makes him a top 15 WR this weekend.

Sit Em

Marquise Brown

Brown has received a fair share of targets with six every game, but the receptions have been low or short completions in the last two games. I do not believe this will change even with a decent matchup against the football team. He is a low-end flex play in deep leagues for me this weekend.

Tight Ends

Start Em

Robert Tonyan

Tonyan has been great the last two games for a tight end in fantasy. Has two touchdowns in two straight games, and I see that trend continue. Even if Adams gets back this week, it is evident that Tonyan is in the RedZone gameplan for Green Bay. If you do not have the top 5 TE’s, I will encourage you to pick him up and start him this week against a weak ATL defense, especially at the RedZone.

Sit Em

Hunter Henry

Henry will still see his healthy dose of 5 receptions, but won’t do much with them. He hasn’t been much of a factor in the RedZone as his touchdowns have been 10+ yards out. It won’t help that the young Herbert at QB is having trouble as of late. Also, Tamba bay did a great job against Fant last week, holding him below 50 yards on ten targets. Tampa Bay is expected to do the same thing to henry this weekend.

Defense

Start Em

Buccaneers TB vs LAC

The Bucs have been outstanding Fantasy wise in the last two games with 11 sacks, four picks, two fumble recoveries, one safety, and one blocked kick. I think the stats speak for themselves as they have another soft matchup against the struggling rookie QB Herbert.

Sit Em

Saints NO vs DET

Please do not play this defense. 65% of leagues on ESPN have a team rostering this defense, which still baffles me. Even to roster this defense is a waste of space. They had one good game week one, but that game is an outlier. Most weeks, it will be like week 2 and 3. They have allowed the fifth-highest scoring allowed in the NFL, and within the last two games, only one turnover. This game will be another high scoring affair like all the past Saints’ games. It’s safe to say the Saints defense should be dropped and not touched unless you are in a 24 team league.

  1. This is a great read! I know I’m a week late seeing this but I did start Tampa Bay Defense and doing that helped me win. Thanks for the advice!
