Many couples enjoy having a night of fine dining and heading to a play afterwards, especially during the winter time. For a date night idea, I have come to the thought of going to plays and experiencing other atmospheres other than staying in for the night. Whitewater’s Young Auditorium has been known to host some of the best theatrical plays in the area and that are plenty to see if you are interested in the plays that are being presented for this month of December.
The Nutcracker is a play that everyone knows about or has seen. It’s a classic tale, and if you have not seen it, now is the perfect time to watch one of the most magical holiday stories on stage. The Nutcracker will be playing on Thursday, December 16that 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and the ticket prices range from $15-$22.
Before the play, you and your significant other can grab a bight at one of the few restaurants we do have in Whitewater. As I have mentioned before in a previous blog post, 841 Brewhouse and Second Salem are on the fine dining side of things. You can also grab a slice of pizza at Gus’, or tend to Cozumel or Taco Fresco. There are options of what can do to make the night a special one.
For some people, plays may not be their forte, but getting out of your comfort zone is something you are supposed to do in life. It’s nice to see that maybe you would enjoy a play once in a while because it’s something you both could talk about after!
