Yes, there is plenty to do in Chicago, but if you’re looking to stay around here for a light show, Janesville is the place to head to! It’s only a 25-minute drive which is not bad at all. In Janesville, they have a place for a light show to share with visitors how beautiful it is even in the winter time. The light show at Rotary Gardens will be starting on November 24th and 25th for their Grand Opening. The tickets are as low as $5 and the event will last till December 31st. They will open at 4:30 p.m. and lights go dark at 9 p.m.
While visiting Rotary Gardens enjoying the lights, you can snag a hot cup off cocoa, coffee or cider served along with a cookie. Going to a light show is a great way to spend a date night because it’s calming and you can walk around the entire garden with mesmerizing lights all around you while enjoying a hot beverage. This is personally one of my favorite date ideas to do for a night out in Janesville during the holidays. After visiting the light show, you can head to a local restaurant in town for a late night dinner or snack. You won’t be burning too huge of a hole in your wallet with a date night like this.
