If you and your significant other are tired of having the same routine each night, are competitive and want to mix it up a bit, this post is the perfect read. Being in a relationship causes you to see how each other acts in certain situations, such as sports. They, or you may be competitive and take a sport very seriously, whether you are playing the game or just watching it.
In Whitewater, there is always a sporting event or activity happening each week/weekend. For this season, there is la-crosse, football, volleyball, basketball, soccer and many more. Football so far has been the one with the most attendance due to having the tailgates. An idea for a Saturday home game would be to have you and your boyfriend/girlfriend tailgate and cook out with friends and family. It’s a great way to meet everyone if you have not yet met all of their friends, or just an excuse to take a homework break and hang out with friends. If you enjoy other sports and want to check out the schedule of when games are happening and where at, you can visit the UW-Whitewater Athletics page!
Another great activity you guys can do together is to join an intramural team. Intramurals are a great way to get to know each other and see how you guys are in a competitive environment. Do they cheer you on? Or do they get mad if you make a small mistake and react in a way you shouldn’t. If you’re still getting to know the person, this is a great way to see a different side of them. If you have been with them for a while, well you know how they are already – but remember, it’s only a game! Below I have attached the schedule for the UW- Whitewater Intramural Sports Page and when they will close and how much it is. The page also includes how to enter and the rules. The most that an intramural would cost for a team would be $40! It’s not too bad when you have a big team.
If sports are not your thing, keep reading! There are many more date and activity ideas to come, so stay tuned!
