The season that we all have been waiting for is finally here! Fall is the kind of weather you that allows you to finally curl up by a fire with your boo, watch scary movies and eat as many apple cider donuts as you can in one sitting – because really, who can resist those delicious pastries. As many of you would probably rather eat all the donuts inside, there are so many fall activities outside of Whitewater you probably didn’t know existed. Here are a few ideas of you and your pumpkin can do during the fall season
The first idea would be to attend pumpkin patches/ apple orchards.
Skelly’s Farmers Market, located in Janesville, is the most popular pumpkin farm in the Rock County area. This farm offers many activities, including corn mazes, pumpkin picking, wagon rides around the farm and a great scenery for fall photos with your significant other. As for food, they offer warm pumpkin and cider donuts, caramel apples, hot cider and many, many more! You can learn more about Skelly’s Farmers Market by visiting their official website.
Another place to visit that is just 20 minutes from the town of Whitewater is the newly built apple orchard, Hawk’s Orchard located on the outskirts of Milton. This year is their first year baking and selling apple cider donuts and let me tell ya, they are to die for! This cute apple orchard is the perfect place to head to on a chilly Sunday to pick up some apples from the trees and enjoy some warm donuts taken freshly from the oven. For more information, visit their Facebook page at Hawk’s Orchard.
If you take a look at their individual websites, you notice that they are not expensive what so ever. Going to a pumpkin patch or apple orchard are cheap ways to enjoy the fall weather and spend time with your boyfriend/girlfriend.
