Crockpot Chili
Need something warm, easy, and ready to eat when you get home from a long day? Then crockpot recipes are exactly for you. Being in college, a crockpot can be a saviour. After a long day you’ll be able to come home to a warm, home cooked meal with no prep. My favorite, CHILI! Over the years, my dad has made numerous recipes, and I think we found a great one. Much like other recipes on my blog, you can easily modify and add ingredients!
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lbs lean ground beef
1 clove of minced garlic
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
1.5 (8 oz) cans cans tomato sauce
1/4 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
Salt & pepper
1 (15 oz) can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can light red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Spiral noodles (optional)
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
Saute garlic in a pan with olive oil, then pour ground beef in pan and cook until brown. Drain grease. Once meat is browned, add each ingredient into a large bowl and mix together. Pour the mixture of every ingredient into the crockpot. Set the crockpot on low with the cover on for 5-6 hours. Stir occasionally for better results! If you would like, cook noodles in a side pan and add to chili. Once it is done, serve in a bowl with shredded cheese and sour cream to make it even better! Also great for leftovers!
