Playoff Outlook

The NBA playoffs start very soon, with the official date taking place on May 22. As it stands, the Bucks have the 3rd seed which would match them up against the Boston Celtics. It is likely to change though, as the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat are all in similar positions in terms of the standings. If the Bucks best matchup would against the Atlanta Hawks, as they do not have anyone who can stop Giannis Antetokounmpo. The worst matchup is easily the Miami Heat, as the Bucks lost to them last year in what was a near sweep of a series. The Heat, while not as good as last year, have talent like Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo who can get in Giannis’s way. With how it is shaping up though, going against the Celtics would not be a bad matchup.

With how the season is shaping up, it is looking unlikely the Bucks can steal the 2nd or 1st seed to face a worse team so the 3rd seed seems like a lock. The only way this would change is if the Bucks or another team ahead of them implode and go on a losing streak. Overall, the path to the playoffs are looking challenging, but the Bucks will be up for it.
