W3 Challenge Week

November 7-14 is the W3 (Working for Whitewater’s Wellness) Community Challenge Week. The W3 web site contains a Challenge Week flyer listing possible activities. You can find W3 on Facebook too.

W3 “seeks to promote physical, mental, spiritual and social wellness within the context of connecting with one’s community by individual and community attention to eating wisely, activity, purpose and social connection.”

For example, searching the HALCat library catalog will find materials such as Personal health interactive integrator online, “A CD-ROM intended to educate students in health and wellness. The first section contains the Wellness clinic in which students can track their physical and mental fitness throughout a semester. The second section contains an interactive health textbook with images, demonstrations, activities, surveys, etc.” (3rd-floor Main Collection, RA776 .P47 1999), The doctor is in: A 7-step prescription for optimal wellness (2nd-floor Browsing Books, RA776.95 .S77 2010), and The stress management sourcebook (NetLibrary ebook).
