“We have forgotten how to be good guests, how to walk lightly on the earth as its other creatures do.

Hello! Welcome to Going Green on a Budget. I am excited to further my journey to clean living and hopefully will encourage some of you to take the step to intentional, eco-friendly living as well. I am rather new to this area of research so I am hoping to use this blog to further my own knowledge and compile good ideas for college students that are on a budget. In this blog, you’ll be able to find information about affordable alternative switches to everyday cleaning products, ethical fashion, food tips, and other great products and businesses to know about. Thanks for being here and I hope you learn some fun things about going green!

My name is Adeline Edwards. Throughout this last trying year (2020,) I’m sure a lot of us have decided to take control of one thing in our life to establish some sort of normalcy. I chose to learn about and begin practicing sustainable, ethical, and eco-friendly living. As a college student, I don’t have unlimited resources to change my habits. Therefore, I have had to learn how to adapt on a budget and decided to blog about it for other people looking to make switches to their homecare/cleaning products, fashion, or some other area of their life while on a pretty tight budget. As Barbara Ward said, “we have forgotten how to be good guests.” It’s time that we learn how to do our part for our planet. Welcome to Going Green on a Budget!
