How To Be Active In Summer

With the beautiful warm days and sunny skies, it makes it difficult to want to head to the gym. We all have this burning desire to be outside and enjoy the nice weather. This is the perfect time to get some fresh air and be active outside.

Here are some activities that are fun in the sun and still allow you to get your workout in.

  1. Play Sand Volleyball

Sand Volleyball is a great game that is simple to play. It is an awesome way to be active outside and have fun while you are doing it. You can play sand volley ball at the beach, some parks, or anywhere there are sand volleyball courts. Find a court around where you live and start a game with some friends.

  1. Go on an Outdoor Run

If you like to get a good cardio workout in at the gym, try taking it outside! Get some fresh air while you run. Choose to go for a run around a lake or at a nature trail to enjoy some beautiful scenery. An outdoor run can add some challenges to your workout with running up hills and running on different types of surfaces.

  1. Hit the Bike Trail

Biking is a great activity for all ages. Going for a bike ride on a nature trail is another way to get out and do some physical activity while you enjoy nature. Bike rides are perfect for going longer distances in a shorter amount of time. Going for a bike ride can be a fun activity to do with friends.

  1. Go for a Swim

During the summer going for a swim is a great way to be active. Swimming for hours really can be a workout. On those hot days, the cool water can be very refreshing. Try alternating between going to swim at the pool and the lake. Switching it up can keep the summer entertaining.

  1. Stroll Around the Zoo, Amusement parks, or Summer Festivals

 

Any activities you can take outside in the summer can help you stay active! Just simply walking around the zoo or an amusement park can help you get your steps in for the day. Walking is a great way to exercise. Walking around these exciting places allows you to be active and have fun at the same time.

 

These are just a few examples of ways to be active outside this summer. Go out and get some fresh air while staying in shape. These outdoor activities are great examples of how to have fun this summer while still getting your work out in!
