New Role for Sara Deschner

It’s with deep regret, we are announcing Sara Deschner has decided to return to where we discovered her – instructing at UW-Whitewater. She has accepted a position with the Information Technology/Business Education Department within the College of Business and Economics.  Sara will teach Information Technology courses and assist with revising the program curriculum. Sara’s last day with ICIT will be January 4.

Sara joined ICIT as Assistant Director of Instructional Facilities overseeing the state-of-the-art design, engineering and daily operation of teaching and learning facilities at UW-Whitewater, coordinating classroom facilities design and department computer lab technology deployment, as well as planning and management of the GA computing labs.

ICIT Management is determining a long term approach to manage Sara’s responsibilities. In the interim, Renee will oversee the Distance Education and liaise with the Instructional Areas for their instructional/software needs. Kent will oversee the AV Support. We are still determining who will provide direction to General Access Labs.

Sara will continue to be a great benefit to the Warhawk students, although it will be ICIT’s loss. We sincerely thank Sara for all the work she has done for ICIT and wish her the best!
