Personnel Announcement – Dan Baker
Dan Baker has announced he will be leaving ICIT to begin a new adventure – starting a web, graphic design, programming and marketing company with two friends.
Dan joined ICIT in Jan. 2011 as Web Infrastructure Technologist. In this role he led the technical implementation of the Ingeniux Web Content Management System, managed enterprise Web technologies, and was a part of the ICIT Web Team in ensuring high-quality presentation of UW-Whitewater Web content and services. He also served as an advocate for the adoption of new Web technologies, such as tools for enhanced support of mobile devices.
Dan’s responsibilities will be covered by Carolyn Wilson and Brad Westness while we assess the needs of the web team. For any questions, please contact Anand Vangipuram.
Dan’s last day in ICIT will be Friday, Jan. 18. We thank Dan for his many contributions to UW-Whitewater and we wish him the best of luck and success in his future endeavors!
ICIT Welcomes Erica Mendez to the Team!
ICIT is pleased to welcome Erica Mendez to the LTC Team as a LTC Support Specialist! In this role, she will be using her video production skills to support the wide range of services and products available to instructors and students. She will also be focusing on assisting instructors with creating and managing their courses in Desire2Learn. Her official first day is January 2nd, 2013.
Erica is not new to ICIT. During the Spring 2012 semester she began working in the General Access Labs and then moved to the LTC during the Winterim 2012 semester. Erica will be graduating this month with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism, with a minor in integrated marketing communications. She was also the student commencement speaker at graduation!
